When soccer stars kicked off The African Cup Of Nations this week, they were doing it with a little help from Ely-based sports’ equipment supplier Stadia Sports.

Stadia Sports shipped over £50,000 of equipment out to Ghana, the home of the tournament, supplying 12 pitches worth of goalposts, nets, corner poles and line-marking equipment to the team responsible for preparing the grounds for ‘the continent’s football showpiece’.

Soames Springthorpe of Stadia Sports said: “We have supplied many of the UK’s premier football clubs over the years and understand the needs of the professional footballer and the groundsmen responsible for keeping the pitches and equipment in top condition.”
