Suffolk company targets North America oil industry |

A Suffolk company is targeting North America for fresh sales of its specialist instrumentation and technical support for the oil industry.
Woodbridge-based De Flow Ltd has forged a new company, Neftemer Ltd, embracing other small network companies, to develop a new product – the Neftemer multiphase meter.
The product measures the flow of oil in an accurate, cleaner and safer way using the latest gamma-ray technology.
The new company has already developed projects in some of its key markets in Russia, North America and Brazil. Now it is celebrating a new alliance in the US following help from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).
With more than 25 years experience in the industry, director David Whittingham joined UKTI’s Passport to Export programme, delivered by East of England International with his sights set on expanding further internationally.
He has just returned from Louisiana where Neftemer Ltd celebrated its new business alliance with Lake Charles Instruments.
The partnership will represent and distribute the multiphase meter by broadening supply markets and allowing both companies to expand into the global marketplace.
Over the past few years, De Flow Ltd has initiated a lengthy research and development programme working closely with Cranfield University to develop the new meter for the Western market.
Following the company’s experience with the Passport programme, Neftemer Ltd also utilised UKTI’s Export Market Research Scheme to help finance trips to Libya and the US.
Reports on markets in Canada and Brazil were also commissioned through UKTI’s OMIS scheme helping Neftemer to significantly sharpen its international business objectives.
