Shares in system-on-chip specialist, Imagination Technology are continuing on a slow decline, despite offering news that global electronics giant, NEC has licensed a second of the Hertfordshire company's graphics cores.
Imagination said that the Japanese powerhouse had extended the growing relationship between the two companies with a second licensing agreement.
NEC licensed its first POWERVR SGX 535 core, which it is deploying in a single-chip system for car navigation, back in April 2006, and the new deal will give Imagination further fees and royalty revenues.
The news has done little to avert the recent drop in Imagination's share value, which has dipped one per cent to 90p.
