Cambridge medical devices specialist, Grant Instruments, has partnered with Scientific Laboratory Supplies to equip a leading Cambridge University laboratory with a bank of high performance digital water baths to assist research into child obesity and diabetes.

The Grant SUB Aqua water baths have been installed for use by scientists at the University of Cambridge Institute of Metabolic Science’s Metabolic Research Laboratories (MRL), based on the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site in Cambridge.

MRL is a cross-departmental institute with around 120 scientists within the University’s School of Medicine.

It is housed on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and undertakes basic and translational research relevant to diabetes, obesity and other endocrine and metabolic disorders. It will use the baths to grow tissue culture cells to assist the laboratories research into child obesity and diabetes.
