A team of lawyers from Taylor Vinters advised the successful bidder for Luton Town Football Club, Luton Town Football Club 2020 Limited.
The winning bid is from a consortium of fans led by television presenter Nick Owen whose offer has been conditionally accepted by the Hatters’ administrators. The Luton deal has been the highlight so far of Taylor Vinters’ involvement with a number of football clubs and the legal team included corporate, insolvency, property and employment lawyers. The acquisition team was led by corporate lawyer Adam Bradley, the only solicitor qualified as licensed insolvency practitioner in Cambridge. On the bid team’s conditional offer having been accepted, Bradley said: “It has been a real buzz working with the bid team to help them to achieve their aims of saving the club and building on its position as a key stakeholder in the local community. “As with all of these situations, all of the bid team and their advisers were working in the media spotlight. We had to draw on all of our team’s experience to complete the transaction under very tight timeframes.”
