Citroen deal sounds great for NXT

NXT technology will be offered on the stylish new C5 Flat panel speaker specialist, NXT has announced a new deal with auto manufacturer, Citroen that will see the company's Audio Full Range (AFR) loudspeakers offered as part of a premium audio option in the new C5. The Huntingdon-based firm, which has recently been greatly diversifying its market range, said that the French car maker will include NXT technology in its new model of the large, family-sized car, but did not divulge any financial details about the deal. NXT said that the audio system features NXT AFR loudspeaker units in the C5's dashboard and rear doors to deliver a broad frequency response and improved staging from very low-profile, space-saving drive units.  It said that combined with high-quality woofers and a powerful subwoofer, the system dramatically improves the audio experience for driver and passengers, with the NXT AFR units distributing sound evenly throughout the cabin. "We are delighted Citroen has made NXT's AFR loudspeakers available as a dealer-specified option for the C5, which joins the C4 Picasso to become the second European mass-market vehicle to be fitted with our technology," said NXT's CEO, Peter Thoms. "This is another important verification for our audio solutions and strengthens NXT's automotive business which includes four Toyota vehicles in addition to the Citroen models." The announcement has seen NXT's ailing share price rise marginally, growing over two per cent to 5.6p.
