Business travellers flying to the north of England now have a greater choice of services as UK regional airline, Eastern Airways, launches more flights from London Stansted to Manchester. From Monday (7 April), the independent airline, which flies from Stansted to Manchester three times daily will increase Monday to Thursday services from three to four flights a day, providing more flexibility and convenience for those heading north bound to the city of Manchester as well as Cheshire, North Wales, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria. The additional services will also appeal to those travelling on business to Stansted’s surrounding counties of Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire. Weekday departures leave Stansted at 8.45am, 11.45am*, 4pm and 7.20pm, landing in Manchester at 9.50am, 12.50pm, 5.05pm and 8.25pm. From Manchester flights depart at 7.15am, 10.20am*, 2.20pm and 5.50pm arriving in Stansted at 8.10am, 11.15am*, 3.15pm and 6.45pm. (*except Fridays) Recently Eastern Airways introduced lower one way fares starting from £49 including taxes and charges to coincide with the increase in flights from Stansted to Manchester. “Our enhanced services are tailored to meet the needs of business commuters,” said Chris Holliday, Eastern Airways’ chief operating officer. “We are offering greater choice of flights to Manchester enabling travellers to conduct important business away from the office without the need for an overnight stay.” All passengers flying with Eastern Airways are able to use its dedicated fast track security channel at Stansted to avoid queues. There are no additional costs for those travelling with hold baggage and, all passengers have a choice of seat and are offered onboard complimentary drinks and snacks, including champagne.
