New Jersey vaccines firm opens up in Hertfordshire

A New Jersey-based biopharmaceutical targeting vaccines to counter bioterrorism agents and developing products to treat life-threatening side effects of cancer treatments has opened a new ‘virtual’ office at the Hertfordshire BioPark in Welwyn Garden City.

The facility will be DOR BioPharma’s new corporate office for the UK, giving the firm stronger European Union access, which should better facilitate the Named Patient Access programme that will be administered by Surrey-based IDIS.

“This new office will aid us in achieving our strategic vision of making orBec® available to patients throughout Europe through our Named Patient Access programs while we conduct our confirmatory Phase 3 clinical trials,” said Christopher Schaber, DOR chief executive.

“It also has the potential to facilitate the conduct of new clinical trials in Europe as well as to provide support to European business relationships in the future.”
