ImageCopytrax releases automated CD and DVD publishing system for low to medium volume professional CD and DVD production; targeting technology companies, software developers and game developers.

Cambridge digital media experts Copytrax have announce the release of the FlexWriter, a new system that enables the professional production of CD and DVD based products. The FlexWriter systems target low to medium volume production and will appeal to companies such as recording studios, video production companies, software production companies and computer game developers.

The FlexWriter is a fully automated machine than can print and copy up to 225 discs at the press of a button. Using a full-colour 4800 DPI printhead, the FlexWriter is able to deliver a professional quality print finish, enabling the system to be used for even the most demanding projects. The system also employs very high quality Pioneer Professional CD-DVD Recorders that provide high-speed writing and ensure playback quality.

"The FlexWriter system are very impressive," said Steve Woods, Managing Director of Copytrax. "They are very reliable and provide a very consistent performance, making them ideal for professional duplication where lower and medium production volume is required. This is a very active part of the market because today's software products tend to be updated more regularly and production needs to be much more flexible. For companies such as software developers, the FlexWriter will enable them to reduce stock levels and more easily ship out new releases at the earliest opportunity."

Copytrax develops a range of CD printing technologies; from their industrial Project37 CD printing machines (1200 CD's per hour) down to their smaller Da Vinci desktop machines, Copytrax has gained a reputation worldwide for quality and innovation in the duplication and printing of optical disc media.

Copytrax has led the way in the shift away from the traditional screen printing of CD and DVD media toward more flexible and faster digital inkjet solutions. "The CD and DVD still remains the most popular storage medium for digital data," said Steve Woods.

"With places such as China, India and the Middle East now coming on stream we are seeing a lot of demand for this type of CD publishing technology. Also the shift away from screen printing towards the cleaner and faster digital technology also means that this type of technology is gaining market share in the CD and DVD production industry."

The FlexWriter CD publishing system is available in a range of capacities and is also subject to a two year warranty. Each system comes with a software package called FlexWare, a professional software package that provides high end Networkable Publishing.

Copytrax also provides all of their customers with training and technical support to ensure each customer is able to maximise their return on investment and obtain the best results from their equipment.

“The FlexWriter provides everything that a company needs to produce professional digital products, “ said Steve Woods. “The fact that it is capable of ‘unmanned’ production and also has the necessary software to quickly create impressive designs, means that these machines very quickly pay for themselves, proving to a be a great business investment.”
