Bio:
David is a Senior Researcher in the Media Interfaces Group with BT’s Broadband Applications Research Centre at Adastral Park, Martlesham Heath, Ipswich.
David has worked on a range of projects broadly in user-interaction, typically involving the production and presentation of visual media and often some aspects of computer vision. Examples include markerless facial expression tracking for 3D television production, video-conferencing systems, automatic extraction of highlights from football videos and BT Balance, a tilt controlled mobile device for older users. He has published in the fields of HCI, psychology, computer vision and computer graphics.
David is the co-founder of the Curiosity Collective, a group of technologists and artists who create curiosities for their own amusement and for public exhibition.
