The Brand Recruitment team in celebratory moodCambridge marketing recruitment specialists Brand Recruitment were awarded Recruitment Company of the Year at the 2008 Cambridgeshire Recruitment Awards last week.

Along with the team award, Managing Consultant Ursula Colman won the Special Recognition award for her contribution to the local recruitment industry.

At the event attended by human resources professionals, recruitment consultancies and representatives from other industries, the Cambridge based company and its staff were shortlisted for an impressive four out of total of eight awards.

“As this is the first year we have entered the awards, it was superb that we were shortlisted in all of these categories”, Managing Director Steve Mann explained, “Naturally we are still a relatively young company so even to be competing against global companies such as Robert Half and Manpower and their immense resources is a great achievement - to win a company award when pitted against them, extraordinary.

“The performance pays testament to our unique proposition and the professionalism of our team.”  He went on to explain that the company award was sponsored and judged by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation which gave another great boost to the company and rewarded its attention to detail and exceptional levels of customer service. “The REC are the authority on recruitment so it is both reassuring and encouraging to have their appreciation of our processes and attitude”.

The Special Recognition award given to Ursula Colman was a further reflection of the company’s commitment to excellence and a deserved acknowledgement of the dedication she demonstrates dealing with both clients and candidates. The judges referred to her championing a policy to work on reduced fees for not-for-profit organisations as a key factor in their decision.
