Cambridge CleanTech wins top award

Andrew Jones (centre), MD of Alquist Consulting

Cambridge CleanTech company Alquist Consulting has won a major award for its high definition monitoring technology.

The UK company won the Infrastructure Innovation of the Year award at the 2011 UK IT Industry Awards - sponsored by British Computer Society & Computing Magazine.

Since 2003 Alquist has been helping businesses become more energy efficient through consultancy and training services. Historically, its services have focused on helping our clients reduce energy for financial reasons; however more recently businesses are facing even tougher energy challenges as government legislation is now forcing the issue.

Alquist believes businesses need to become much smarter in the way they use energy; monitoring, managing and becoming far more efficient than they have been to date.

Alquist in recent years has evolved through innovation and introduced a variety of energy reduction technologies to the market place to complement our existing platform of consultancy and training services.

Its most recent innovation is celsius, an award winning high definition temperature monitoring system. Alquist is one of the showcase companies featuring among ‘great Cambridge technologies’ at the Silicon Valley Comes 2 UK event at the Computer Laboratory this Friday.
