Howes that for a comeback?

David Howes

Accountancy firm, Grant Thornton East Anglia has welcomed a familiar face back to its corporate finance team.

David Howes returns to the firm as Corporate Finance Manager following a two and half year break working as a finance controller for large companies in both the commercial property and healthcare sectors in Norwich.

In his new role, Howes will focus on expanding Grant Thornton’s corporate finance presence across the East of England, particularly Suffolk and Norfolk, working from the firm’s Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich offices.

Howes, who recently achieved an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, said: “It’s great to return to Grant Thornton which is the firm I trained and qualified with.

“I especially enjoy working with the entrepreneurial, owner managed businesses which form a large part of the firm’s client base and I’m looking forward to the challenge of further building Grant Thornton’s corporate finance presence throughout the region.”

A qualified Charted Accountant, Howes first joined Grant Thornton in 2003 after graduating from University of East Anglia. He initially focused on audit before specialising in corporate finance once he qualified.

Grant Thornton East Anglia’s Corporate Finance Director Darren Bear said: “This is an exciting time for the corporate finance team as we expand across the region and David will play a key role in this process.”
