Investment move by My Business FD
My Business FD, the fast growing Cambridge and London UK provider of part time FDs to growing businesses, has hired an experienced investment director to help young clients in technology and other industries clinch funding and fulfill their potential.
Trevor Overall joins My Business FD from Finance East where he was a fund manager responsible for loans and investments in a portfolio of early stage and growing SMEs across the Eastern region.He also ran regional business angel networks the Suffolk Investors Club and Eastern Capital Alliance, building an extensive network of connections within the sector.
Overall a former entrepreneur, said: “Our priority at My Business FD is to help growing businesses, particularly but not exclusively those in the early stage tech sector, to achieve their ambitions.
“We are passionate about this and raising finance is a vital part of the process, especially for smaller businesses that do not have the balance sheet or asset base to secure bank funding.
“We have a very strong pipeline of young ambitious businesses that, with our help, are either already searching for investors or are about to do so, so I will be extending our existing investor relationships deeper into the angel and VC community.”
Overall is also currently providing mentoring support to young start-ups through the Springboard London accelerator programme operating in London’s Tech City, offering his valuable expertise to help fledging businesses grow and secure essential funding.
My Business FD is already helping more than 40 early stage UK companies to plan growth and secure funding. Its team of ten highly experienced FDs have worked for companies including GE, BAE, Lotus, Virgin, Deloitte, PWC, KPMG and HSBC and by the end of the year, My Business FD hopes to have doubled its head count to over 20 FDs.
