Financial and business advisory firm Grant Thornton, with offices in Cambridge, has scooped two honours at separate national award events.

At the Accountancy Age Awards, Grant Thornton won 'Audit Team of the Year’ and at the British Private Equity Awards the firm was voted ‘Corporate Financier of the Year’.

Accountancy Age Awards judges said: “Grant Thornton's team were well ahead of the rest. They appear to be extremely well regarded and have won a substantial amount of new business.”

The judging panel for the British Private Equity Awards commented: “Grant Thornton are really committing themselves to the private equity space, making a big investment to service the industry.”

Richard Proctor, office managing partner at Grant Thornton in East Anglia, said: “These achievements are excellent endorsements for our Audit and Corporate Finance practices.

“Strong team work and an understanding of our clients’ needs has led to significant growth for Grant Thornton’s audit teams, and our commitment to the private equity community has culminated in a stream of high profile deal completions for the firm over the last 12 months.”
