The Government is calling on employers to help unlock talent within Britain's workforce by increasing their investment in developing employees' skills. Joining the Excellence network, designed by business support specialist Exemplas, is an ideal response to this challenge.

In its new report ‘Ready to work, skilled for work: unlocking Britain's talent', the Government emphasized their need to work with employers to build a national workforce with the skills to compete in an increasingly challenging global economy.

Annual membership of Excellence includes expert advisor support to help organisations identify tailored development programmes to boost their performance. The package also incorporates exclusive access to a portfolio of human resource management tools and members are allocated delegate places on a range of key training workshops and seminars run throughout the year.

BritSec International Ltd, a professional security company offering a range of services across the UK, joined the Investors in People (IiP) Club, now known as Excellence, in July 2005.  "Our Excellence membership has enabled us to enhance our managers' skills and led onto their gaining recognised NVQ qualifications from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)" said Gary Lewis, Managing Director of BritSec International Ltd. Gary continued "The dedicated Investors in People (IiP) advisor provided as part of our Excellence membership, has also been invaluable in preparing us to achieve IiP recognition and to continue our investment in our staff."

Guy Thomas, Excellence Network Manager at Exemplas said "Excellence can give your business and staff so much. As well as gaining an insight into the tools and skills that could help to make your organisation more successful, your membership provides access to a dedicated expert advisor who can identify what you're doing well and what skills gaps and training needs your organisation may have. It also provides you with networking opportunities with other business people in the local area."

The Excellence network is based on the success of the Exemplas IiP Support Club and is open to any organisation that wishes to effectively manage and develop their staff.
