PEM wins international business award
Cambridge accountancy firm Peters Elworthy & Moore has been recognised as a key international business player by one of the largest global accounting networks.
PEM has won the Kreston International Business Referrer of the Year Award for 2010 at the Kreston International conference in Cancún, Mexico. The award recognises the international work undertaken by PEM throughout the Kreston International network. Chris Walklett, business and international tax partner at PEM, said: “Kreston is the 13th largest accounting network in the world so to win this award is an incredible achievement. It underlines not only the strength of our client base but also our ability to provide businesses and individuals with a high standard of international advice and support.” PEM has been a member of Kreston international, one of the most respected global networks of accounting and advisory firms, since 2007. The network covers 94 countries with more than 700 offices providing a resource in excess of 19,500 professional and support staff. Chris added: “Membership of the network, combined with the international experience we have within PEM, means we can compete directly with the ‘Big 4’ and national firms in terms of supporting international clients in a wide range of areas including global audit and compliance, international tax and business development. “Since joining, we have assisted clients on more than 150 assignments in 30 countries. Not only are we supporting local businesses but also we are helping to put Cambridge and East Anglia on the map around the world.”PEM also came fourth in the category of best international assignment for their work supporting Syrris Limited, the Royston based technology company, which won two UKTI Export Awards in December 2009.
