Two of the region's inkjet technology innovators have joined forces to provide a solution which could dramatically cut time to market for new print systems manufacturers.

The consumer media and radio divisions of the shrinking media giant, Emap will make their way into German hands, after a show of hands at a general meeting approved the disposal.

The sale of two divisions of the region's biggest media company, Emap may be vetoed by shareholders unhappy with the outcome of the lengthy auction process, according to press reports over the weekend.

After five months under the hammer, media group, Emap has sold its consumer media and radio operations to a German buyer for £1.14bn, and announced plans to return £1bn to shareholders.
