A firm of forensic scientists has acquired a long leasehold interest in 120/126 Cambridge Science Park.
Cheffins acted for Hawkins, a firm of consulting forensic scientists and engineers who have been based on the Science Park since their formation in 1980 as a spin out from Cambridge University.Hawkins investigates the full range of losses including fires, explosions, accidents and engineering problems. Managing director Dr Richard Fletcher said: “We have expanded both in Cambridge and by opening offices throughout the UK (now eight in total).
“The Science Park has proved an ideal location for the company and Unit 120/126 offers scope for further expansion of our head office to accommodate more investigators, support staff and improved laboratory facilities.”
The building has 10,236 sq ft over two floors and has recently been comprehensively refurbished to create a modern flexible workspace. The joint letting agents were Bidwells and Juniper Real Estate.
