Norfolk scientists have made a discovery that they hope could improve food security in the future.

Further money could be about to flood into the East of England as the Government increases its focus on ensuring food security for the future through innovative sciences.

A total of £7 million is being offered by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) under two public-private collaborations scouring for crop related answers to major global concerns of diet and energy.
