Great Danes target Cambridge and US growth

Formpipe Lasernet

A Scandinavian-born software business thriving in Duxford is eyeing US expansion as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Formpipe Lasernet, founded in Denmark, is a Microsoft Gold Partner and member of Microsoft’s PREP; it turned over 267.8 million SEK (£21.78m) last year and has 230 employees.

The early success of Formpipe Lasernet was attributed to expanding from a hardware box to a cloud-based software product. Since then, it has worked with businesses that experience challenges associated with managing large quantities of documents.

Formpipe Lasernet has provided a solution for all customer communication needs, enabling the creation and distribution of well-designed, brand rich documents that work across multiple platforms.

In more recent years, Formpipe Lasernet has implemented easy to use graphical interfaces that reduce the time taken to create documents. Lasernet has continually made improvements to Its intuitive software, ensuring that layout for print or electronic distribution is simple and accurate.

Further product innovation has enabled better functionality including faster ERP system upgrades that allow easier maintenance of visual identity, archiving and scanning as well as more effective management of existing legislation and standards.

Mike Rogers, director of sales & marketing for the private sector, said: “Our success and longevity is due to the advanced capabilities and continuous improvements of our products. We have stayed true to our core of what we do.

“Our next big opportunity is the US market and this is somewhere we are seeing rapid growth. The new connectors are without a doubt the way the market is expected to go.

“The private sector is also another big opportunity for us; we now have the opportunity to build on software that’s in other parts of the business and bring it into Lasernet and the network of customers and partners.”
