AVEVA just starting with the Finnish

AVEVA CEO, Richard Longdon

Cambridge engineering software specialist AVEVA has opened a new office in Helsinki to support its growing presence in Finland and to maximise business opportunities in the power generation industry.

The office will offer sales and support for all the technology ace’s products and solutions in both the plant and marine sectors.

AVEVA has over 50 customers in Finland, including major Owner Operators and EPCs.

CEO Richard Longdon said,: “AVEVA continues to invest significantly in our long-term growth strategy. The new office in Helsinki is a perfect example of how we are expanding our geographic footprint to provide better local service for our customers and create new channels for our business.

“In recent months we have opened a number of new offices in fast-growing markets like Latin America, but also in well-established areas including Europe. We are very positive about the prospects for our business and will continue to expand our global presence to meet our growth targets.”

Helmut Schuller, senior VP-Central and North EMEA, AVEVA added: “AVEVA already has a strong position in the Finnish market so we understand that the demands from these customers are different than those from the other Nordic countries.

“We are particularly interested in developing new opportunities in Finland’s growing power sector, while continuing to serve those customers in our other core markets such as oil & gas, marine, paper & pulp and mining & metals. Finland is an important territory for us and we look forward to welcoming many customers to our new premises.”
