Arbonne expands with Polish operation

The UK arm of Arbonne, the health, beauty and wellness organisation, has overseen the company’s official launch into Poland.

Arbonne UK, which employs 24 staff at its headquarters on Grange Park in Northampton, was chosen to take responsibility for the company expansion due to its proximity to the region and its impressive sales record.

For the first time in seven years Arbonne has moved into a new market; Poland marks the fifth territory for Arbonne, which also operates in the US, Canada and Australia.

The UK operation has seen a 48 per cent sales growth during 2014, figures which led Arbonne UK to take responsibility for the launch, which sees the firm’s initial move into Eastern Europe.

Arbonne’s range of products, which range from facial care and cosmetics to weight management and hair care, is sold through a network of Independent Consultants. Centred on the principles of pure, safe and beneficial, all are botanically-based, vegan friendly products. Launching with the flagship RE9 Advanced® Collection of anti-aging products, more ranges will be introduced to Poland over six months until the portfolio mirrors that of the UK.

Vicky Beckett, Vice President and General Manager, UK, said: “The Polish direct selling market increased five per cent to £546m in 2012, demonstrating clear growth, and on top of this the beauty and personal care industry in Poland grew significantly, too.

“The country’s real GDP has seen a far more positive change compared to the European Union average. All signs are that the economy is performing well, so fuelled by a significant number of new product developments and a heavyweight marketing campaign, we’re confident that Arbonne Poland will thrive quickly.

“Through their business-savvy approach, our 35,000 plus UK Independent Consultants know how to relate to their audience and this is clearly translated by the strong sales figures. We feel that the British way of doing business will translate well in Poland, which is why we are leading the roll out.

“During pre-launch activity we held launch meetings in five cities across Poland, which were attended by over 1,200 people. We see this as a significant number; it exceeded our company targets and shows the demand for Arbonne in Poland. As a nation that is increasingly becoming more health conscious, seeking out healthier and more balanced lifestyles, we observed that the whole of the Arbonne range, from facial care to weight management products, was in demand.

}“A number of Arbonne’s consultants in the UK are of Polish decent, and have been championing the launch into Poland for some time. With strong family links in the country, Arbonne already has a foot hold in key regions. With these connections plus the experience and impressive sales track record of the UK team, Poland is just the start of Arbonne’s commitment to increasing operations across Europe.”

Arbonne’s expansion into Poland precedes the company’s 2015 planned launch into Taiwan. As the world’s largest direct selling marketing, Asia is a prime target for growth.

Drawing on expertise from around the globe, independent consultants from Arbonne’s operations in the UK, Canada and the US will travel to Poland to recruit and train Polish consultants. Customer services will remain at the UK head office in Northampton, which has recruited four Polish speaking employees from the Northampton area specifically to support the launch.

Over one million independents consultants work for Arbonne globally.

Founded in Switzerland in 1975, Arbonne was introduced in the UK in 2007 and during the last 12 months alone, has seen its consultant base rise by 36 per cent.
