AMIHO picks up the pace
Things are moving apace for Cambridge-based AMIHO Technology with existing products out in the field, the recent launch of a range of new products designed for the smart meter and IoT markets and an expanding team.
Based at St John’s Innovation Centre, AMIHO delivers innovative off-the-shelf wireless connectivity and control solutions – both software and hardware – for the smart meter, home automation and Internet of Things industries.
“It has been an exciting and intensive year that marks major achievements,” commented David Blumstein (pictued), MD of AMIHO Technology. We have our products embedded in smart metering and home automation programmes, for example in a pilot rollout of 100,000 smart meters in Eastern Europe.
“In addition we are launching new products such as our long range LoRa®-enabled family of radio modules – ideal for facilitating communication with hard-to-reach meters and devices.”
AMIHO Technology has created a bit of a buzz with two innovative products, the versatile AM093 module, combining two Wireless Meter Bus bands with LoRa®, and the new, compact AM060 Wireless Meter-Bus module, showcased with technology partners at the recent European Utility Week tradeshow in Vienna.
Dr Soraya Jones, entrepreneur in residence at St John’s Innovation Centre, said: “We are extremely proud at St John’s to watch ambitious and innovative companies grow and internationalise.
“AMIHO’s story is a great example of a company where a unique combination of hardware, software and wireless engineering expertise results in great partnerships and commercial success in global markets – in this case with the vast majority of sales as export.”
