Nap hand for East of England region at IBC Amsterdam

Five East of England technology start ups have secured the opportunity to exhibit at one of the largest broadcasting trade shows in the world (IBC Amsterdam) with support from the Department for International Trade (DIT).

Virtual AI (Hertfordshire), Impossible Creations (Essex), Vipnet (Hertfordshire), Global Teleports (Hertfordshire) and Cellmetric – Automotive Infotainment (Cambridge) will each have the chance to meet industry leaders and showcase their products and services to potential buyers and distributors. The event runs until from September 13-18 at RAI Amsterdam.

Alan Pain, regional director for DIT East of England, said: “IBC 2018 is one of the most influential technology and media trade shows in the world.
“It welcomes more than 1,700 exhibitors from 170 countries. We’re looking forward to supporting these innovative tech firms from the East of England.

“For smaller and recently established firms like Virtual AI, it can sometimes be difficult to find the funds and time to attend trade shows like IBC. Trade shows are, however, one of the best ways to find opportunities through meeting international buyers or distributors which could lead to new contracts or sales.”

Ian Whitfield, founder of Virtual AI, added: “Attending IBC is a fantastic networking opportunity for us to showcase our products to some of the most influential leaders in the industry.

“We’re a relatively new business but have already started exporting to Holland and Italy, and more recently Malyasia. Teaming up with DIT to attend trade shows such as IBC, is a great opportunity for us to expand our horizons and increase our exporting activity.”
