CCS names ex-Cisco man as sales chief

CCS (Cambridge Communication Systems), creator of Metnet – the world’s first self-organising small cell microwave backhaul system – has appointed Olof Lindberg as VP sales.

Lindberg (pictured) is described as having a successful track record at both technology startups and established industry players.

In recent years he has held VP worldwide sales positions at various startups, taking them from pre-revenue to an established run rate of business. This included Flexenclosure for data centre solutions; Altobridge for remote community GSM/3G solutions; and Cambridge Broadband Networks for backhaul and transmission systems.

CEO and co-founder Steve Greaves said: “Olof’s appointment serves to further strengthen the senior CCS management team during an important phase in the company’s development.”

Earlier in his career, Lindberg worked in various sales roles at Cisco where he ultimately managed the global Ericsson account. He studied business administration, law and statistics at Stockholm University, following courses in electronics engineering.
