Cambridge entrepreneurs school next generation

University chancellor, Lord David Sainsbury with vice-chancellor Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz and serial entrepreneurs Dr Hermann Hauser and Dr Andy Richards at the launch of the new Enterprise Tuesday series

Leading Cambridge science & technology entrepreneurs are pouring their expertise and experiences into a new series of Enterprise Tuesday lectures held by the university’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL).

Tonight (November 12) is the turn of Professor Sabine Bahn – director of The Cambridge Centre for Neuropsychiatric Research – and Dr Shaun Fitzgerald, co-founder and MD of Breathing Buildings.

They’ll be talking about the implications of mindsets and motivations on the management team and the business as a whole. This includes looking at how a team forms the skills to complement their vision and tackle the appropriateness of business models; dealing with regulatory challenges, managing sales to large corporates and other bureaucracies; and more generally how to manage teams of very bright people.

You can register by completing the online form on the CfEL website. Registration is from 18:00. The lecture starts at 18:30 followed by networking from 20:00.

The new series of Enterprise Tuesday was launched last week at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering. A capacity audience of around 400 packed the auditorium to hear university vice-chancellor Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz and serial entrepreneurs Dr Hermann Hauser and Dr Andy Richards, talk about when and how entrepreneurs can spot opportunities.

An historic photo captured this illustrious group who have collectively made an enormous contribution to the Cambridge entrepreneurial ecosystem bridging the worlds of academia, innovation and entrepreneurship. Standing with an engraved glass panel specially commissioned to mark the Centre’s 10th anniversary, they were joined by Lord David Sainsbury, Chancellor of the University.

Enterprise Tuesday is a series of FREE evening lectures and networking sessions managed and delivered by the CfEL at Cambridge Judge Business School. CfEL is celebrating 10 years of spreading the spirit of enterprise.
