Lotus Qatar showroom opens with Evora 400 unveiling
Norfolk carmaker Lotus opened a new showroom in Qatar to expand its presence in the Middle East. It marked the launch in Doha with the unveiling of the Evora 400 sports car.
The new Lotus Qatar facility is the result of a partnership between Lotus Cars Middle East, the distributor for Lotus cars in the region, and Universal Motors.
The showroom was officially opened by Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus plc, and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Ahmad Al Thani, chairman of Universal Motors. Gales said: “When it comes to high performance and highly desirable sports cars Lotus sets the standard and we have never had a stronger or faster line-up.
Jonathan Stretton, Lotus Cars Middle East regional director, said that partnering with Universal Motors was the logical next step in the expansion strategy for Lotus Cars Middle East.
Currently, Lotus Cars Middle East has dealerships in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Lebanon, with further market and showroom launches planned in the near future.
Already on sale in Europe and Asia, the Evora 400 is soon to enter to the North American market.
