Iotics technology highlights critical care bed availability
Iotics, which started business life in Cambridge, is deploying digital twin technology free of charge to support the fight against COVID-19.
The company has launched its CriticalCare Project to help provide the real-time status of critical care bed availability across the UK, with the potential to add new sources of data for test results, ventilator utilisation, patient administration and more.
Iotics’ digital twin technology enables interactions between any asset – people, places or things – with access to all data and controls associated with them.
As part of the initial phase, Iotics has created a digital twin of every hospital in England with the number of critical care beds and is encouraging authorities and hospitals to provide the essential bed availability data at www.iotics.com/covid-19-response/
This would empower hospital managers to coordinate resources locally and direct patients to available beds and ventilators, while also providing a national view of resources.
“The inability to access, mobilise and utilise data is having crippling effects on the public, first-responders, healthcare services and businesses,” said Robin Brattel, CEO at Iotics.
“It is paramount to have access to all relevant data to make informed decisions, so at Iotics we can harness and integrate unstructured data stuck in multiple silos and make it available to the entire COVID-19 response ecosystem.
“We are currently talking to people at hospital, local and national level as well as other technology partners to see how we can accelerate deployment.”
Iotics is a leader in digital twin technology and digital ecosystem enablement, empowering enterprises in their unique digital transformation journeys.
The Iotics operating environment and toolset – already used by world-leading companies such as Rolls-Royce Power Systems and BAM Nuttal – enable interactions between any valued asset – people, places or things, with access to all data and controls, throughout their entire lives.
This is the key to the Iotics vision where any Thing can interact with, and read, any other Thing, where the promise of AI and Machine Learning can be fully realised.
