Rejuvenated SPT Labtech on the charge
SPT Labtech, a Cambridge world leader in the design & development of automated instrumentation and consumables for life science applications, has unveiled new branding that marries its technologies with those from recent acquisitions into a single entity.
The merged portfolio and positioning reflect SPT Labtech’s commitment to harnessing the ingenuity and product development track record of its extended business to help scientists do better research.
The unified brand builds on the company’s 2021 strategic acquisitions of Apricot Designs, a liquid handling instrumentation provider, and BioMicroLab, a specialist in benchtop automation.
The milestone also follows the recent appointment of a reinforced leadership team for SPT Labtech, tasked with overseeing and consolidating the entire business’s commercial, sales and product development operations to further the company’s growth plans.
Under the combined portfolio, the acquired businesses’ technologies will fall under the SPT Labtech brand as dedicated apricot and BioMicroLab product lines.
