Acteon launches three laser-focused offshore renewables divisions

Acteon Group in Norwich has initiated a new structure to further accelerate its growth in offshore renewables.
Three new client-facing service divisions – Data & Robotics; Engineering, Moorings and Foundations; and Energy Services – represent a further milestone in the implementation of a strategy Acteon unveiled in 2021 to deliver services with demonstrable commercial and environmental benefits that help to enable the energy transition.
“This new structure better aligns our service offering to closely match the needs of clients in the offshore renewables arena,” says Carl Trowell, Acteon Group chief executive.
“Simplifying Acteon’s structure and bringing key business units closer together will also accelerate our ability to innovate and provide new services relevant to the energy transition.”
Acteon’s new organisational structure will streamline and support an ambitious R & D and technology innovation programme delivered by its segments and business units.
This is designed to put Acteon’s services at the forefront of the industry and will prioritise closer innovation and efficiencies for, and collaboration with its clients.
The group’s latest digital technology, robotics and remote capabilities were being showcased this week at dedicated tech days in Houston, Texas.
Acteon provides specialist engineering, services and technology to companies who develop and own marine infrastructure across the life of their assets. Customers span the renewable, nearshore construction and oil and gas industries.
Acteon specialises in data collection and survey techniques ahead of construction, the installation of key foundation and anchoring technologies, the monitoring and management of assets and the decommissioning of assets.
The new Data and Robotics division provides a suite of smart solutions for the entire lifecycle of an asset, including advanced geotechnical and geophysical site investigation, surveying, subsea electronics and robotics, and integrity monitoring.
From satellite data acquisition to autonomous vehicles, Acteon provides customers with leading-edge, lower-carbon technologies to enable them to make decisions faster and smarter, and with significant cost savings on vessel days and personnel on board.
The Engineering, Moorings and Foundations division delivers a complete service from initial concept engineering through design, fabrication and on to marine installation.
Energy Services supports oil and gas and other offshore energy sectors, delivering bespoke solutions to maximise an asset’s performance, often towards the end of its production life through structural improvements and corrosion protection retrofitting.
