Friends of the Earth CEO in Cambridge CleanTech summit

friends of the earth, clean tech

Friends of the Earth CEO Craig Bennett is to headline the Cambridge Cleantech Annual Conference on Connected Cities on June 14.

Other keynote speakers are Matthew Bell, the CEO of the Committee on Climate Change, and Professor Colin Lizieri, the Grosvenor Professor of Real Estate at the University of Cambridge.

The conference delegates will also hear from representatives of Johnson Matthey and Anglian Water Group about their innovation needs – and from innovative startup companies keen to satisfy those needs.

There will also be a ‘Smart Communities’ session opened by Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner and a session on international best practice in the development of cities with speakers from Rotterdam, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Cambridge Cleantech CEO, Martin Garratt said: “We are delighted to have such a strong line-up of speakers at our annual conference and a leading edge debate involving senior UK figures from the environmental, academic, governmental and business sectors.

“There will also be a number of larger companies which are attending to pick up ideas from the innovative groundswell of CleanTech companies in the area.” The conference takes place from 9.3017.00 on June 14 at The Trinity Centre, Cambridge Science Park.  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cambridge-cleantech-annual-conference-2016-tickets-23984784135
