Fire firm wings to aid of flying doctors charity

Tom Fletcher of Jackson Fire & Security

A Cambridge business headed up by a former RAF officer is donating fire and security services to Magpas in appreciation of the work done by the charity’s specialist emergency medical teams.

Tom Fletcher (pictured) experienced at first hand the life-or-death role of flying doctors when he helped lead a security squadron for the RAF in Afghanistan. Having left the service to head up a Cambridge branch for Jackson Fire & Security Ltd he decided to provide services to the Magpas HQ and its Helimedix base at RAF Wyton, near St Ives.

“It's great to know that Magpas delivers trauma care to the East of England for those in life threatening situations,” he said.

Jackson Fire & Security has grown steadily since formation in 1991 and partners with leading industry providers such as Siemens, EMS, Gallagher’s, Bosch and Texecom.

It holds NSI Gold awards in both fire and security – the highest level of technical standard in the industry.
