Creative trio bang the drum for Cambridge

Cambridge creative agencies Onespacemedia, Omobono and Somersault have been named in global media platform The Drum’s Top 100 Independent Agencies list.

The list, compiled in association with The Recommended Agency Register (RAR), is the definitive guide to the UK’s best performing independent agencies.

The guide helps brands find agencies for their projects and is the result of comprehensive financial and awards data as well as client satisfaction, which is based purely on anonymous client ratings.

Onespacemedia has just launched a second website for the Owlstone family of companies to complete a transatlantic double whammy.

Since the agency worked its magic for Cambridge-based Owlstone Medical, the cancer breathalyser pioneer has gone on to secure significant investment from the likes of insurance giant Aviva which takes total funding to $23.5 million since its spin-out from Owlstone Inc. in 2016.

Now Onespacemedia has redesigned the website for Owlstone Inc. Operating in the US market, Owlstone Inc. partners with market leaders to integrate its FAIMS technology into next generation chemical sensing products with a broad range of applications such as explosives detection and the monitoring of drinking water.

Other projects have included digital transformation for life science innovator KYMAB, brand identity for gaming startup Automation and a digital overhaul for consultancy brand Northmores.

Omobono is a global creative and technology agency for business brands including Google. Headquartered in Cambridge, with offices in London, Bristol and Chicago, the agency’s clients include major global corporates such as BP, Shell, JLL and Johnson & Johnson. Last year revenue increased by 47 per cent and profit doubled.

Video communications agency Somersault has moved to south of Cambridge and is a growing force. This year, it has delivered projects including the global video brand identity for BAE Systems, conceiving and delivering a content strategy for London Stock Exchange Group and creating and advising on content for coding and marking world leader Domino Printing’s largest-ever product.
