Grant Thornton Cambridge appoints financial forecasting specialist
The Cambridge office of financial and business adviser Grant Thornton has welcomed a financial modelling specialist.
Mark Robson joins Grant Thornton with over 20 years’ experience in supporting businesses and financial institutions across the globe to build robust financial forecasting models.
Hailing from New Zealand, Robson (pictured above) started his career producing financial models and analysis for large infrastructure projects in his home country. His work took him to the US and later London where he worked in the energy sector, delivering financial forecasts for new acquisition opportunities.
In 1999, Robson joined the Cambridge based corporate finance team of another international advisory firm, supporting clients buying and selling businesses.
For the last 10 years Robson has run his own businesses, helping international blue chip clients, financial advisers and banks improve their financial modelling and analysis, working with clients from countries as far flung as Azerbijan and Zambia.
He has also taught valuation and private equity modelling on Cambridge Judge Business School’s world number one ranked Master of Finance programme.
In his new role with Grant Thornton, Robson will help clients improve the integrity of their financial forecasting, producing strong, transparent models to support strategic decision making and fundraising.
