Howes Percival launches Cambridge Corporate Finance Club

The inaugural Cambridge Corporate Finance Club will provide an opportunity for local professionals and members of the wider corporate finance community in and around Cambridge to build better connections locally and develop a strong working relationship with their peers.

The initial event in Cambridge on March 5 will take place with a view to meet on a regular basis to network and discuss issues and ideas relevant to corporate finance.

Founded by Howes Percival’s Corporate team, the Cambridge Corporate Finance Club is open exclusively to all funders, banks, accountants, solicitors and advisors with the aim of creating an inclusive community that can work together to increase the number of deals being completed in our area.

Guests will be joined by speaker, John Gourd, CEO of Cambridge Network, who will share his thoughts on the Cambridge business community and activity in the region.

Brigitta Naunton, a corporate director at Howes Percival said: “Cambridge and the surrounding area is home to some of the most talented corporate finance professionals in the industry.

“The aim of the Cambridge Corporate Finance Club is to encourage those professionals to work together more and raise the profile of the collective quality and experience we have to offer.

“There is a clear benefit to the corporate finance community if we work together to foster a greater reputation for completing deals in Cambridge and the surrounding region.

“Cambridge is a hub for some of the most innovative and fastest-growing businesses in the world and we want to ensure that they are aware that they can access all the support they need from banks, accountants, solicitors and other professional advisors without looking too far.

“This will benefit not only firms working in corporate finance, but also the wider economy of Cambridge and its surrounding areas by cultivating an investment/transaction culture, leading to a greater number of deals in the area.”

About the speaker
