Deans Foods and Stonegate agree merger

According to Poultry World, the new enlarged group, Noble Foods, will have a 46 per cent market share of UK production, with the nearest competitor way behind on five per cent.

The new company will be equally and jointly owned by Peter Dean, who will become chairman and Michael Kent who will be chief executive, responsible for Noble Foods. Deans and Stonegate will continue to give a different and individually focused approach to marketing to each customer as subsidiaries of Noble Foods.
