Hilton Food Group beefs up presence in Huntingdon
Hilton Food Group Plc has beefed up its presence in Huntingdon. Acting for a client of Aberdeen Asset Management, Bidwells has completed a substantial re-gear and new lettings to Hilton at The Interchange.
Hilton had seven years remaining on its existing leases and already occupied over 100,000 sq ft on the estate. It has now taken new 25-year leases on its existing space and also expanded into two further units.
The company, which supplies Tesco with beef, lamb and pork, will use the new space for additional product lines.
Patrick Stanton, partner at Bidwells Industrial & Logistics team said: “This is a terrific deal for both the landlord and tenant. The investment value of the estate has been enhanced by securing 25-year leases to an excellent covenant and Hilton now has the occupational security of a long term lease to allow it to invest significant capital in expanding its operation.”
Bidwells, jointly with Barker Storey Matthews, is marketing the remaining unit on the estate. Unit 14 measures 18,420 sq ft and is available on a new lease at a quoting rent of £105,000 per annum.
