Bullards named world’s best London Dry Gin

Peter Smith distiller at Bullards Spirits

Bullards Spirits is raising a glass after its Norwich Dry Gin was named the World’s Best London Dry Gin in the World Gin Awards 2017.

After rigorous taste testing by a panel of judges, Bullards Norwich Dry Gin was shortlisted among nine other gins from around the world and after months of waiting, was last week announced the overall winner.

Bullards Spirits is now hoping to put its flagship Norwich Dry Gin firmly on the map at home and abroad.

Russell Evans, co-founder of Bullards Spirits, said: “The award has come as a complete shock but is a huge pat on the back for everything we’ve achieved in just a year since we launched.

“Our distiller, Peter Smith, is one of the youngest distillers in the UK and has so many innovative ideas and expertise to bring to our brand.  We only launched a year ago but already we are achieving more than we thought possible.”

Bullards Spirits is the only gin distillery in Norfolk and the first to use Tonka Bean in its recipe. It is based at the Ten Bells Pub in Norwich, owned by Greene King, and boasts its own on-site gin distillery and guided tours.
