Crisp maker wins near-£100k European growth grant

Fairfields Farm

Colchester-based potato farm and hand-cooked crisp producer, Fairfields Farm, has secured a £99,978 grant from The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development to help fund continued expansion.

The grant has contributed to an investment in a new state-of-the-art frying and product handling system at Fairfields Farm.

This is part of a bigger project to make Fairfields Farm one of the leading snack producers in Britain – fuelled by renewable energy generated on the farm using anaerobic techniques.
