Peterborough brewery hopes to make big noise with Barking Dog
Peterborough brewery Oakham Ales is raising a glass in celebration after signing a promotional deal with PR company Barking Dog Media.
The award-winning brewery has become an increasingly familiar name across the country following distribution deals with the Co-Op, Waitrose and restaurant chain GBK.
It is now looking to take its profile and public presence to a higher level after linking up with King’s Lynn-based Barking Dog, who will provide 24/7 press and media support services, including crisis management. Barking Dog will also help Oakham Ales create a stronger digital presence.
Oakham’s award-winning brews, such as Inferno and Bishop’s Farewell, are available in bottles and on draught, and already proving popular in countries as far apart as Sweden and South Korea.
But it is the domestic craft beer market, particularly around London and the south east, which Barking Dog intends to target.
Barking Dog media director David Blackmore said: “We’ve been huge fans of their beers for a number of years and it’s been great to see how much Oakham has grown and propelled itself onto the national scene recently.
“With their brewery currently undergoing a massive expansion and the recent exciting agreements with the likes of GBK and the Co-op to sell their beer, the future looks very promising for Oakham Ales and we’re pleased to be supporting them on their journey to new horizons.”
