World Cup shaves half a million off Bingo operator's profits

Bingo operator, Top Ten, pointed to the soccer World Cup and this summer’s heatwave as the predominant reasons behind a £500k shortfall its profit forecasts for the first half of its financial year.Melting almost 10 per cent off the share price, down 10.5p to 104p, the St Albans-based firm added that trading in recent weeks had substantially recovered from the lows experienced in the summer and that management was taking actions to further improve admissions and profits.
