This “significant” contract is the ninth won by Herts-based Prologic for Unify, a solution that provides customers with a secure private network to support not just Chip and PIN, but other services such as back office applications, footfall, security cameras and remote back up, where security and reliability are paramount.
Unify is now beginning to deliver rapidly growing recurring revenue streams for the Prologic as retailers increasingly recognise the cost benefits of the system. Later this year, Internacionale expects to implement Voice Over IP telephony followed by centrally managed security cameras operating in every store.
Sam Jackson, managing director of Prologic, said: “The benefit to the retailer is that it receives a state of the art solution, which is fully managed and delivered as a cost competitive rental service. This may be the first service of its kind but we are confident it is the approach retailers will increasingly choose in the future.”
Internacionale’s finance director, David Milton, said: “The whole project was bank approved, installed and tested on 450 point of sale units across our 145 stores in the UK and Ireland over a period of 8 weeks. Unify has greatly improved our efficiency and will generate savings from year one. We expect to benefit further from its functionality in the future.”
Shares in Prologic – who delivers integrated IT solutions exclusively for the fashion sector – rose five pence to 80 pence a share, up 6.67 per cent.
