CSR loud and clear for Visteon

Visteon's new MACH Voice Link hands-free system contains CSR's BlueCore and Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technologies.Visteon's new MACH Voice Link hands-free system contains CSR's BlueCore and Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technologies.

The Visteon system, which is currently deployed in various North American Nissan and Infinity vehicles, offers an integrated hands-free infrastructure, linked via Bluetooth to a mobile phone, allowing users to make hands-free calls while driving. It also allows drivers to comply with the hands-free legislation that has been introduced across many global regions in recent years.

CVC is a flexible solution allowing it to be adapted to a number of different vehicle cabin environments and production costs are reduced with minimal hardware requirements and microphone independence.

Anthony Murray, automotive product marketing manager at CSR said: “The vehicle cabin environment is notoriously noisy.

“Many drivers have difficulties in being understood during a telephone conversation when using hands free systems, which do not adequately suppress the echo and noise. CSR's CVC technology, now included in BlueLab 3.4, solves voice quality issues, allowing designers to deliver systems that achieve high quality voice calls in the most demanding conditions.”
