RSL on the radar with Norwegian contract

Raytheon Systems Ltd in Harlow is to supply Norway’s air navigation service provider, Avinor, with up to 15 Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) systems as part of the country’s £32 million radar programme, NORAP.The contract is for an initial order of 10 systems with options for a further five, plus two additional S-Band PSRs.

Two of the systems are to be mounted offshore, one on a fixed oil platform, the other on a tethered leg platform.

The contract draws on RSL’s global experience in Air Traffic Management Systems in general and in MSSRs in particular and is due for completion by 2012.
