Polaron may be sold

The company, co-founded in 1963 by current chief executive Joe Steltzer’s father, Dr Isidore Stelzer, makes a range of hi-tech building security, lighting and control systems.

The company’s shares rose over eight per cent to 79 pence following the announcement. Polaron has seen it shares slide over the past year and its market cap currently stands at 10.1m
