Cambridge Network opens door to digital learning

Cambridge Network, the business membership organisation serving the East of England’s technology cluster, introduces CN eLearning – adding a wealth of bite-sized digital resources to its training offering.

CN eLearning is a new suite of courses covering a diverse spectrum of essential skills. Learners pay just once for access to the complete learning library – consisting of more than 160 short courses.

Subjects range from compliance issues such as health & safety, information security and safeguarding, to soft skills like management & leadership, teamwork, and customer service. See the list of subjects below.

Ideal for individuals keen to upskill or organisations wanting to provide learning experiences for their staff at minimal cost, a CN eLearning pass covers a single learner for a year and provides access to the full course library, delivered by MicroLearn.

Courses (Modules) are typically completed in a maximum time of 15 minutes, but each course also includes a shorter Video Plus unit – which can act as a handy refresher tool or is perfect as a standalone resource for learners who are pushed for time – and a colourful whiteboard-style video which either stands alone, or supports blended programmes.

Each resource is expertly designed to promote workplace productivity by making learning convenient, accessible and relevant.

Users can work at their own pace, managing and keeping track of their individual learning experiences, while companies can set goals for and monitor their staff’s development through a simple online system.

John Gourd, Cambridge Network’s CEO, says: “Training has always been an important part of the Network's offer – for many years, our Learning Collaboration has provided a wide range of quality courses, many of which we quickly moved online from classrooms because of the pandemic.

“Computer-based training of this kind is a natural progression, and we are delighted to offer it in response to specific requests from the HR community.
“Its beauty is its accessibility – anyone can access learning from anywhere, at any time, and know that they will not be tied to a screen for more than a quarter of an hour.”
