Legal firm launches in Essex
One of the region’s fastest growing firms of solicitors is to undertake a major expansion with a launch into Essex through the city of Chelmsford.Ipswich-based Prettys is to open the new office at the Atlantic Business Centre with an initial team of nine people including lawyers and support staff.
The firm plans to double the operation in size over the first year, building on the driving force of the Thames Gateway, the burgeoning East London area and the London Stansted Airport.Further expansion into Norwich and Cambridge is a distant possibility, but not currently under consideration.
Prettys’ CEO, Paul Dickie, said: “As an ambitious law firm we want to extend our expertise to other parts of the East of England. Ipswich is our headquarters and we are celebrating our centenary this year.
“We feel that the opportunity is right to expand in line with our plans to take the name of Prettys to a much wider audience. As one of the best known firm of solicitors in Suffolk we now want to be one of the best known in the region.”
