Bury St Edmunds law firm advises on two acquisitions

Simon Ratcliffe Greene & Greene

Law firm Greene & Greene, based in Bury St Edmunds, has advised global group Nexus on its acquisitions of two companies – Credit and Business Finance Limited and Capital Risks MGA Limited.

Greene & Greene has worked with Nexus on the acquisitions of various businesses for over 10 years.

Credit & Business Finance is a specialist trade credit broker. It has three regional satellite offices with its head office in Hertfordshire; it is the first acquisition for Xenia Broking Group Limited, the newly formed independent broking arm of Nexus.

Capital Risks MGA is a London-based Warranty and Indemnity MGA specialising in providing cover in relation to M & A transactions and IPOs.

The Nexus Group was founded in 2008 and is currently represented in nine countries, has over 200 employees and is doubling in size every 18 months. It has recently been ranked as number 32 in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Tract 100 league table, which ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years.

In 2018 Nexus was ranked at 91 and so has achieved a considerable jump over the last 12 months.

The Greene & Greene team advising Nexus was headed up by mergers & acquisition specialists, Simon Ratcliffe, Andrew Cooper and Natalie Stoter.

Ratcliffe said, “We are extremely pleased by the longstanding relationship that we have with Nexus. The company continues to grow year on year and we have many more projects in the pipeline that we are working on with Colin Thompson and his team.”
