Legal thoroughbred expands in Newmarket
A Newmarket law firm has built a 6,000 sq ft extension on its existing site, thanks to a six-figure funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.
Edmondson Hall Solicitors currently employs 30 staff following its recent acquisition of Rustons and Lloyd, which was founded in 1834.
The new extension, supported by Lloyds Bank, is as part of its commitment to lend £1.7 billion to businesses in the East of England this year.
Containing a new board room and several meeting rooms with facilities including a purpose-built strong room for safely storing deeds and wills, the extension will give the business additional capacity, as well as offering them space to grow in the coming years.
The firm, which has increased its turnover by a third in the past year, is a leading specialist in the field of equine law, including the thoroughbred horse breeding industry and horse racing. However, it is also a full-service law firm, working in property, employment, corporate and injury litigation.
The funding package comes as Edmondson Hall Solicitors is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Mark Edmondson, chief executive of Edmondson Hall Solicitors, said: “The funding provided by Lloyds Bank, has enabled us to bring our newly expanded firm together under one roof. Our new shared space, with its modern design and state-of-the-art facilities, is the perfect home for our bigger and better law firm.”
